This month, we’re sharing a crafty activity from our pal Risa Culbertson of Papa Llama. While she originally created this for quarantine and things are opening up fast, it’s still a fun activity you can share with friends.
For more from Risa, check out her YouTube channel and print shop full of clever greeting cards, prints, and wearables.
Dealing culture out of the back of a van

I’ve been thinking a lot about the future of work. Do I want to go back to a physical office? Part-time? A hybrid model? And what does that even mean? I guess I’m waiting/wanting to better understand what purpose our offices will now serve. But I got a few questions. Will it be like nothing ever changed and just return to our assigned desk? God damn, I hope not. Will it be more open and flexible? Yeah, I can see that. Or perhaps offices will satisfy our thirst for community through events?
And how does the office of the future maintain connectedness or equality when teams are spread out across not just multiple time zones but countries? How do we ensure there’s no bias when a majority of the team happens to go into the office yet others are working remote? How do we shift our mindsets from the default being a physical office to a remote-first office? It feels like we might need a second here.
There’s no question this pandemic has forced the discussion and whether we’re aware of it or not, many of us are re-writing the company handbook (in real-time) on how this all plays out. And holy shit, if you take a second to recognize how this future of work will impact generations to come, the gravity of being in a position to influence at that scale...is just dope. And what’s more, think about the last time you and everyone you know indirectly worked on a single project together? Daaaaaamn.
